Join us Thursday, July 21st, for a night of Botanical Blueprints with The Big Camera! You'll make several special projects to keep or give as a gift. This photo printing process dates back to the 1800s, and was made famous by a woman named Anna Atkins. Many credit this botanist with being the first person to publish a book illustrated with photographic images. You'll pick your own plant matter, use our negatives, and create one-of-a-kind pieces of art. You'll take home: 1 Cyanotype and epoxy necklace in bronze or silver, a 3-flag strand of botanical flags made from cloth to hang in your home or garden, and 4 postcards to frame or mail! Anna Lawrence and Donna Moore, The Big Camera Co-Founders will be excited to teach you a process you can easily continue at home! We can't wait to make art with you!
