Description
FRAMINGHAM, MA — As difficult as it was to find a Christmas tree in 2020, now it's time to start thinking about throwing yours away.
In Framingham, the city will collect trees between Jan. 11 and Jan. 15. Trees will be collected on your regular trash and recycling day.
The sanitation department is reminding residents that you need to remove all decorations from the tree before throwing it away — that includes tinsel, as annoying as it is. Trees do not need to be in any kind of bag.
Although it goes without saying, tree pickup is for real trees only. If you're getting rid of a fake tree, bring it to the recycling drop-off center, 255 Mt. Wayte Ave.
