Press release from the Mobile Museum of Art: June 27, 2022 Mobile Museum of Art is pleased to welcome four new employees to our staff! We're happy to have our museum staff nearly restored to pre-pandemic levels, and we have gained talented new colleagues in the process. Get to know our new staff below, and if you see them roaming the Museum, feel free to say hi. Stay tuned for a few more to come… Joe Lett, Jr. I joined the Mobile Museum of Art in May 2022 as the Media Marketing Specialist. Prior to MMofA, I was the communication specialist at the City of Fairhope. During my tenure at Fairhope, I aided the city with various IT & media related tasks. I am a veteran of the US Navy where I served as a Tomahawk Fire Controlman onboard guided missile cruiser (CG57) USS Lake Champlain. I am a graduate of University of South Alabama, where I majored in Broadcast Journalism & Marketing. I currently call Mobile my home. When I'm not busy striving for greatness at MMofA, you can find me working on my podcast, "The Lett It Rain Podcast," trying out a new food recipe and/or zoning out to various live sporting events. Ashley McIntyre I'm Ashley, and I grew up (mostly) here in Mobile. As the Coordinator of Art Education, I work alongside the Curator of Art Education to help with administrative tasks like coordinating volunteers, scheduling field trips, and planning activities at the museum. I'll also be involved with teaching the classes, so you'll see me active in the studios very soon. I love all things art. Whether it's theatre, choir, music, dance, painting, ceramics, I'm excited to try it! Rebecca "Becky" Metts I'm from Saraland, AL, and I'm a new daytime guard at the Mobile Museum of Art. In my free time, I enjoy reading and going to church. Kenneth Webb I've lived in Mobile, AL all my life. I graduated from high school in the early 80s and worked various jobs since. I've been in the security field for more than thirty years, and I'm a third shift guard at Mobile Museum of Art. In my spare time, I like to read and work with my hands.
