I would never have thought so, until Trump started embracing them and actively bringing them into the fold - very good people on both sides, stand by instead of stand down, we love you - all to groups our own national security views as domestic terrorists and a threat to our democracy and national security, that it doesn't at all view the "leftist" groups you mention as, and Republicans didn't rebuke him or even distance themselves for doing so. No one said anything even remotely like "leftist organizations can act as they choose as long as anyone in the actual democratic party renounces them." What was said was, those actions are not the actions of "the democrats," as you're asserting and entirely conflating them to be. A completely different statement. Now, *I* can distinguish between those aforementioned groups and "Republicans", just the same as I can between those 'leftist" groups and "the Democrats" - or at least I could distinguish them, pre-Trump - but can Republicans? Trumplicans certainly don't seem to be able to. And that's exactly the huge threat to integrity of the Republican party that I'm talking about.
