BRIEF The person in this position is responsible for the company’s physical logistics, including digital and physical receipt of orders and goods, storage and maintenance of products, and preparation and shipment of orders. This is a full-time, hourly position. Pay varies by experience and expertise, but almost certainly in the $17–19/hour range, with the possibility for a truly exceptional candidate to earn slightly more. The position includes medical insurance, paid holidays, paid vacation, and paid sick time. This position is in Las Vegas, Nevada. There is no possibility for remote work. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES Receive and Dispatch Customer Orders * Create and manage any and all systems necessary to ensure orders are processed accurately and shipped out in a timely manner, from start to finish * Monitor all incoming order pipelines (e.g., Shopify, Faire, Volusion, emailed purchase orders) * Validate, prepare, double-check, pack, and ship orders * Maintain shipment records (e.g., initialed packing lists, tracking number logs) * Submit claims for outgoing shipments damaged in transit; track and ensure payment * Prepare Stock for Sale * Prepare outgoing products for the point of sale (e.g., ensure products and packaging are not damaged, repackage from unmarked supplier boxes to printed WorldWise packaging, print and apply consumer-facing labels, etc.) Receive Supplier Shipments * Unload, count, verify, and store incoming supplier orders * Document and claim damages or shortages; track and ensure payment or credit * Manage Logistics Temp Personnel * Create processes for and direct the work of temporary warehouse labor, assembly labor, receiving labor, and future logistics hires * Manage Warehouse Labor budget across shipping, assembly, and receiving operations to ensure the entire year’s labor needs are met Manage Logistics Budget * Making purchases and supervising funds from the following accounts to ensure they remain within budget (or equivalent, e.g., no purchases are made from the Shrinkage account): * Local Assembly (cost of goods sold) * Shrinkage (cost of goods sold) * Freight Outgoing (expense, plus offsetting income from customer charges and damage claims) * Warehouse Labor (expense) * Warehouse Supplies (expense) Maintain Facility and Inventory * Organize physical inventory, and reorganize as necessary, to avoid damages and shrinkage, and ensure speedy operations (e.g., appropriately locate fast- and slow-moving inventory, re-allocate bins for efficiency as product sells) * Maintain a tidy and well-organized warehouse environment * Ensure digital records are accurate by hand-counting inventory semi-annually (July 1 and January 1), with monthly spot-checks of 10–15 randomly selected inventory items * Manage Convention Shipments * Prepare outgoing conventions shipments based on provided packing lists of products, fixtures, and other collateral * Receive returning conventions shipments and accurately return products, fixtures, and collateral to stock and storage, ensuring that inventory changes are accurately reflected IDEAL SKILLSET *Detail-focused stickler for accurate and timely work * Independent and self-starting outlook and attitude * Experience in general warehouse work: Receiving and organizing stock, maintaining inventory, picking and packing orders * Experience with Shopify and Shipstation (or similar platforms) * Specific experience with Faire and Amazon Vendor Central platforms are a plus * Experience managing warehouse personnel is a plus * Must be able to lift 50 pounds ABOUT WORLDWISE IMPORTS AND PLAY ALL DAY GAMES WorldWise Imports is the leading North American distributor of classic games including chess, checkers, backgammon, go, cribbage, and others to independent retail stores and chains.
