Wanted small puppy or young dog

I am looking for a small puppy or young dog as a companion. I am disabled and unfortunately can't handle a larger dog physically. I don't care about the breed or lack of papers but it must be small. I am looking for a lifetime companion but can not afford an expensive rehoming fee, I would rather spend larger amounts on ensuring that he/she has all they need and receives proper vet checks.
