Santa Barbara’s leading Property Management firm is looking for a qualified and self-motivated Apartment Maintenance Technician for the Santa Maria / Guadalupe area. For this position, we are seeking a team member with Property Maintenance experience who is self-responsible, highly organized, and skilled. Experience with pool, pond, and fountain maintenance is a plus. The ideal candidate will be responsible, under the direction of the On-site Property Manager, for the overall maintenance of the apartment complex and all areas related to the day‐to‐day maintenance operations of the community. Job duties include, but are not limited to: 1) Electrical, plumbing, carpentry, masonry and painting 2) Repairing and treating structures such as showers, sinks, appliances, doors, cabinets, walls, and building exteriors 3) Make units ready for new move‐ins 4) Have a working knowledge of HVAC systems and be able to maintain, repair and replace HVAC systems 5) Responsible for and available for 24 hour emergency maintenance 6) Proactively schedule and complete preventative maintenance program 7) Complete grounds work including grounds pick up, sweeping, and light landscaping 8) Pool, pond, and fountain maintenance 9) Coordinate special projects as directed The Maintenance Technician must maintain a professional and courteous manner with residents, visitors, contractors and fellow employees. The Maintenance Technician must have the necessary tools to effectively complete tasks outlined above. The ability to follow oral and written instructions in a cooperative manner is required. An ability to travel to other properties, hardware stores, dump, etc. is required. Qualification: Your resume, detailing your past work experience with verifiable references in the field of Property Maintenance.
