My dryer in my apartment stopped working suddenly

It's a stackable dryer. It had no problems up till just now. It was in cycle. The cycle ended. I went to start up again and nothing. Then opened and closed it again and now it just won't start. Washer still works. I am looking for someone that is familiar with stackable washer dryers - that can fix it or be honest with me and tell me it's smarter to just buy a new one. It's an older version, at least 10 years old or more. So I am hoping for an easy fix. I am lost without my washer/dryer.
