GENERAL SUMMARY: Primarily responsible for fulfilling order requests on time within requested quality metrics by counting and packing materials. Flexible schedule based on availability. Short term and long-term promotions are a possibility. ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: Follow verbal and visual instructions Able to count and separate an assortment of materials Ability to keep track of materials counted Counts, packages, or arranges items into boxes or containers. Attention to detail with material counts and package labels Easily recognize and compare 6-10 alpha-numeric combinations. Moving tables and pallets of material into place Able to use a pallet jack Inspect all material prior to packing by visual examination and/or using specified tools or aides. Ability to use our scanning system and program while following certain guidelines Assist in correcting packaging errors. Palletizing materials and boxes Consistently meets or exceeds picking and packaging metrics. Actively participates in process improvement activities. Perform ongoing daily housekeeping activities, responsible for working neatly and keeping things organized, and other housekeeping tasks as required. Time management: the ability to stay on task and fill in downtime Effective team player. General computer skills Excellent verbal communication skills in English. Must be able to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals with or without hand-held calculators. Must be Must have high integrity; good attention to detail; and be dependable. Occasionally lift and/or move up to fifty pounds. Specific vision abilities required for this job include close vision and ability to adjust focus.
