As a laborer in the sealcoat business we start with our prep work, by cleaning the asphalt off with wire brooms and a high powered commercial air blower to remove dirt and debris from the surface, afterwards if cracks are present we use a tow behind crack filler machine that one person will walk behind and operate and one person will drive the truck and often back up into corners and harder to reach places, next we use edging brooms to seal the edges of the asphalt with before spraying sealer onto the main body of the job. In places where there are stripes for parking stalls sealed over we will come back the following day and paint new stripes, handicap stalls and walkways. Overtime available, the more tasks that are mastered, raises will be applied. Work ethic and attitude are important for the teamwork work environment.
