We specialize in low slope roofing and repair at high security facilities, mainly focusing on High-security in the greater Charlotte area. Job Details This role would be a perfect opportunity for anyone looking for something exciting and not your typical 9-5 job. We are looking for reliable employees willing to work as a team with the crew to complete projects as needed. This is also a wonderful opportunity for experience and a chance to get several different certifications, such as classes and education to operate various equipment, vehicles, and area clearance. We are looking for both experienced and inexperienced individuals who are able to pass an extensive background check and drug screening (initial and random). The work requires the candidate to be good physical condition and be willing to work outdoors in extreme temperatures year round. This role provides paid training courses and endless possibilities to grow. Some contracts will require the employee to travel within NC / SC. Upcoming jobs / possible jobs may take place in Hartsville, SC, Southport, NC, York, SC and possibly more locations. There will be perdiem provided and / or travel costs will be reimbursed. We are currently planning on being stationed in Huntersville, NC for the foreseeable future, about 2 years. Our working hours are Monday-Thursday 6:30 AM - 4:30PM with an hour lunch in between. Fridays / OT is typically only necessary when bad weather or other unpredicted circumstances may occur. Paid Holidays and vacation is also provided. Job Responsibilities Install, inspect, and repair low slope roofing systems. Be skilled at measuring and cutting roofing materials to appropriate length. Cut, bend, and fasten metal flashing using hand tools such as shears, tin snips, and hammers. Install flashing, vents, gutters and various other roofing components. Install low slope roofing material including single ply, modified bitumen and metal roofing systems. Clean up debris and dispose of debris properly after roofing projects. Water Intrusion / Proofing Roof Repair Operating Forklift as Needed Operating Manlift as Needed Operating Scissor Lift as Needed Requirements Be good physical condition, ability to withstand extreme weather environments Is able to pass extensive background check and be honest and up front about anything in their past Able to pass an initial 5-pannel drug screen as well as random screenings throughout course of employment Has a good positive attitude, willingness to learn and grow Is able to follow instructions given from superintendent and/or foreman Is able to commute if required (travel expenses and hotel costs would be covered, as well as carpooling opportunities) Drivers License U.S. Citizen or holds a current U.S. work visa If candidate is hired, they will have to undergo a 1-week paid training course in Kings Mountain, NC prior to official start date. Candidate will have to pass proctored tests during this time in order to get badged to enter the contracted facilities. Starting pay will be $20/hr. A candidate with roofing experience or proves him/herself with hard work will be greatly compensated in their hourly rate after evaluation of skills. Job Type: Full-time
