Amateur bass player looking for band

Hi there. I have been playing bass off and on for 10 years. I've been briefly part of bands but have never played live. As of late I've mainly played along with songs and used Rocksmith. I have a very good ear when it comes to hearing the bass in a song and playing it myself and have a good feel for rhythm. I'm looking for a beginner band playing mainly covers for now and maybe originals later on. My musical interest are Grunge (Nirvana, Soundgarden, Alice In Chains, Pearl Jam), Rock (Muse, Biffy Clyro, Faith No More, Weezer (pre Maladroit), Queens Of The Stone Age, Rammstein) and stoner rock (Kyuss, Sasquatch) and whatever else rocks and has a good 'hook' to it. I have equipment (amp, speakers and bass) and transportation but would like to stay within a 25 mile radius of Plant City.
