I live here seasonally and have notice the traffic getting worse and worse each each year here in Manhasset. I realize there is nothing I can do about it, and honestly I have decided to be patient - which is difficult for me. This weekend was the exception. As is typical, there were not enough checkout lines open and the route of least resistance turned out to be the worst! On top of this was my forgetting I needed ice, which is the farthest point in the store from the checkouts. The couple that seemed to be finished and paying had to argue over the price of a six of soda cost..30 difference. $100 of groceries and.30 was a sticking point. Several clerks had to convene, I don't know the result, but I remained relatively calm due to the absolutely beautiful blonde in the t-shirt and jeans shorts. What I forgot to mention was the clown show in the parking lot. After doing a few laps to simply find a spot, the lot was particularly clogged, due to a biden lover parked right at the front door, at a stop sign, essentially making it one lane. Combine this with the u-turns (Manhasset is famous for this) the general confusion (also famous) the women thinking the car was just at the stop sign and sitting behind it, the women trying to park and taking 4 turns to get into the space, and me, stuck in the middle, and you have the usual King Kullen parking lot debacle. The beautiful blonde appeared again, helping a lady find her car. Her being in the middle of all this was excellent for my blood pressure! I hate driving and generally stick to work and back and King Kullen. I spend way to much time on Northern Blvd for my tastes, but occasionally a beautiful woman has a calming effect!
