I am a Certified teacher in Florida, 2nd Dan black belt, and mother of 2 wonderful kids, who are no longer small children. I love working with kids through play, modeling, and building relationships. My husband and I are a blended family and we have a loving stable home. We are non smokers and pet owners, we currently have 2 cats (friendly) and a very sweet hamster. I am looking to care for 5 children ages 0-5yrs, all abilities welcome. (I have specifically worked before with ADHD, ODD, autistic, non verbal children of varying ages.) I have flexible hours and can work around your schedule within reason. I provide an unstructured, child led program that works through discovery and play (think montessori). A sample day may look as follows: 7am: Ciara is dropped off, greeting and goodbye song 7:15: Morning snack with child friendly tv program 7:30: Suzie would like to read a story to the group so we get cozy and listen to the story 7:45: Cory wants to dress like one of the characters so we lead into dress up and imaginative play 815am: We clean up our spaces and take a venture outside for some fresh air and play 9am: We come back inside, wash our hands, and there is a craft activity prepared for the kids to start 9:30: Clean up time and there is an impromptu dance party happening in the living room! Let's go! Etc. Child led, adult facilitated. It has been proven that children ages 0-4yrs develop many crucial critical thinking, emotional intelligence, sensory processing, and physical dexterity and coordination skills. Assure that your kids are getting the quality of care they need and deserve in my capable and loving hands. As a teacher, we are FBI background screened several times, certified and obtain a bachelor's degree. I am also trained in CPR, will be renewing certification soon.
