Description

Prohibition was the law of the land from 1919 until 1933, but here in the Surface Creek Valley it lasted much much longer. Temperance meetings were common before prohibition, and local laws that banned serving alcohol were common. The Lizard Head Saloon is one of our most popular venues at Pioneer Town. In this talk we'll uncover the the reality of alcohol consumption and saloons in historic Cedaredge. The story will surprise most attendees.
