Celebrate the Fourth of July with the Indiana horses racing industry. The Indiana Thoroughbred Alliance invites horse racing enthusiasts to breakfast and a free farm tour on July 4th. The tour will start at 8:30 am, where attendees will enjoy Breakfast on the Backside, eating at Horseshoe Indianapolis's Backstretch Cafe while watching morning works. Then, everyone will gather go just a couple miles down the road for a tour of Arrowhead Thoroughbred Center, a newly-built Thoroughbred farm specializing in foaling mares, layups and reconditioning. Speakers for the event include Eric Halstrom, Vice President of Racing at Horseshoe Indianapolis, Brandi Steele (trainer and co-owner of Arrowhead Thoroughbred Center), Breeders Cup trainer George Leonard, III, and breeder and owner Chris Walsh. Afterwards, attendees will return to the track for holiday racing at Horseshoe Indianapolis. First post on the holiday card is 12 pm. Attendence is free and open to anyone who is interested in seeing more of the behind-the-scenes of the racing industry. However, you MUST RSVP!
