First thing you need to know is that MCC is a Commercial General Contractor who specializes in Tenant Improvements throughout the Seattle area (specifically Veterinary clinics and hospitals). Our homebase is in Snohomish, but our Superintendents travel to multiple job sites each week. Superintendents coordinate all phases of on-site work throughout the construction project. This includes coordinating and scheduling subcontractors, vendors, and field employees and material and equipment ordering and management. They ensure the plans and specifications are being strictly followed, and that work is proceeding on schedule and within budget. Superintendent shall be responsible for scheduling, inspections, quality control, ensuring job site is tidy, and job site safety. Because they work directly with clients and subcontractors, and they supervise our field personnel, we need a team player who is skilled in communication and can be an extremely professional representation of our company. Here are the Responsibilities for our Superintendents: • Schedule subcontractors/vendors, consultants, and MCC field personnel, ensuring timely completion. • Perform quality control duties and responsibilities regarding the work being performed. • Communicate with the Project Manager regarding ASI’s, RFI’s and Material Submittals. • Ensure subcontractor/vendor is executing and complying with their contracted scope of work. • Coordinate required inspections with local jurisdictions. • Identify subcontractor non-compliance with safety, health, and environmental quality standards. • Identify conflicts in construction progress and communicate them to the Project Manager. • Maintain (Procore) daily log of activities, personnel, subcontractors/vendors, and visitors on the jobsite. • Walk all units on project daily to monitor activities and assist in future planning. • Preside over weekly subcontractor/vendor meetings designed to coordinate the work. • Identify areas of work that are outside of the contracted scope. • Conduct weekly jobsite safety meetings for subcontractors and MCC workers. Qualifications • Minimum of 3 years verifiable experience • Must be proficient in reading blueprints • Ability to identify deficient work and provide resolution. • Experience with Procore is strongly preferred. • Must be organized, self-sufficient, flexible, and a team player. • Computer literate and experience with iPad/tablet, Microsoft Outlook and Procore. Notes • This position is for full-time, salary employment. It includes paid holidays, a company iPad, and paid time off. • MCC currently provides medical and dental insurance, but at this time, does not provide vision insurance. • MCC is a smoke-free and drug-free workplace. • Please provide 3 professional references.
