Information via the City of Stamford STAMFORD, CT — The Stamford Department of Health's Clinic is now offering coronavirus vaccinations to licensed health care providers. According to a news release from the city, qualifying health care providers (physicians, dentists, podiatrists, etc.) can register through the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention's Vaccine Administration Management System (VAMS) to receive a vaccine. VAMS is a web-based application that supports the planning and execution of COVID-19 vaccination clinics. (To sign up for Stamford breaking news alerts and more, click here.) Once registered in VAMS, health care providers may select the Department of Health's Clinic as a location to obtain their COVID-19 vaccination. The first vaccination clinic will be offered Thursday from 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. The Department of Health will continue to add additional vaccination dates based on vaccine supply and demand. Qualifying physicians must register through the VAMS Vaccine Portal. Do not call the health clinic directly. Following the CDC's Phase 1A rollout of the vaccine, the Department of Health is only offering vaccinations to licensed health care providers and not the general public at this time. The Department of Health continues to provide vaccines to first responders, including police officers, firefighters, 911 dispatchers and department of health COVID-19 vaccination clinic workers.
