This study seeks to examine the effect of alcohol consumption habits on decision-making and mental health symptoms. Participants needed include those with consume fewer than 2 alcoholic beverages per month and those that consume more than 20 alcoholic beverages per month.
Participants who meet eligibility criteria are asked to come to the lab located at Greenville Memorial Hospital or Brackett Hall at Clemson University and answer several surveys, complete three 15-minute long computerized decision-making tasks, and have your vital signs and muscle movements measured. Your facial muscles and heart rate will be monitored as you perform the decision-making tasks. You will be asked questions regarding demographic information, your mood and emotions (such as feelings of nervousness or sadness), your behavior, and your alcohol and drug use. The whole study will take a maximum of 90 minutes. Upon completion of the study, participants receive a $35 Visa gift card.
Scheduling can be made anytime Monday-Friday from 8am-7pm.
