This award-winning mead has long been on our minds since it’s first release in May 2020, and after earned itself a silver medal at the world’s largest mead competition last year we knew it was time to make some tweaks and go for the gold. Dark, rich, bramble berry jam is what we aimed for when we made Starboy. This amazing dessert mead is made with star thistle honey from Norther California that is then paired with a fruit that is very special to us in Southern California, Boysenberries. Considering that our tasting room is about 20 minutes from the birthplace (Knott's Berry Farm) of this hybrid of European raspberry, European blackberry, American dewberry, and Loganberry, it’s hard to think of a more perfect fruit to represent Orange County. Overflowing with tart, tannic, and oh so sweet character, this mead will coat your glass and your palate. Earthy, fragrant vanilla will dance on the nose. With every sip the sweetness from the honey and its floral, almost nutty notes bring everything into a memorable symphony of flavor. The complexity of it all, from something so short on ingredients (just 5), is something quite remarkable.. and something that should not be missed. Bottles are able to be picked up at the Honey Pot Tasting Room in Anaheim for four (4) weeks from Thursday, 7/14 @ 5pm until Sunday, 8/7/2022 @ 7pm during regular Tasting Room operating hours in our tasting room. Bottles not picked up within the pick up window are forfeit.
