“My Fashion Experience - Summer Camp” is a 2-week fashion course designed specifically to attend high school students’ needs during Summer Break. During the program, participants will learn through an interdisciplinary project about the Fashion Industry and the various roles involved in it, along with understanding how to create a collection, how to manage research and trends, and how to cultivate a creative mind while getting an overall view of the Fashion System. The interdisciplinary project has at its focus a sustainable and up-cycling approach, which combines styling, draping, design, and digital marketing. Participants will have the chance to: 1. Explore Fashion systems; fashion in each capital, the market of such capitals and their peculiarities. 2. Learn how to develop their own personal sketching language, learning the basics of fashion figure drawing, illustration techniques and collection structure. 3. Understand body image and body shapes; an insight into magazines, photoshoots and trend forecasting. 4. Channel their creativity through hands-on workshops such as draping with fabric on a mannequin, textile exploration and up-cycling existing garments. 5. Discover the digital side of the industry and how new technology, social media and Gen Z is influencing the industry.
