Summary: Assists the store manager in everyday operation of the counter to include opening and closing procedures, customer services sales, scheduling deliveries and assisting with salesman/ownership/general manager/bookkeeping needs by performing the following duties.
Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Assists in maintaining a safe and professional work environment.*
Answers multi-line telephone system, takes accurate information in a professional manner.*
Greets customers and provides customer assistance by responding to inquiries, evaluating customer needs and making additional purchase recommendations as appropriate.*
Uses a computer to create work orders and invoices for approved work.*
Ensures all finished paperwork is either collected for or given to the proper people for collection.*
Ensures all salesman needs are met to help them as much as possible.*
Follows proper opening/closing procedures for the company.*
Sources and orders tires and supplies from local vendors to fulfill emergency orders as needed.*
Maintains a clean work area and equipment in proper working order and ensures reference materials, parts catalog, and price books are current, accessible and legible.
Ensures building and grounds maintenance are relayed to the proper person for completion.*
