Lead Guitar Wanted

Description

Hello! We just lost our lead guitar (great player/guy; left on good terms) and are looking to find the right fit. Must emphasize LEAD guitar. Goal is to gig 1-2x per month. The band presently has a high energy lead vocalist, bass player and new drummer. Our current rhythm guitar also plays a few leads but is willing to hand off all lead duties if you prefer. We are all in our early 50’s, young at heart, no drama and get along very well with everyone contributing in their own way. We enjoy practices. Sometimes crack a few beers. No one is doing this for the money. We do it because we like playing and the money just makes it a bit more fun. Three out of the four of us have plenty of gigging experience. Our tastes are diverse but rooted in good classic rock and 90’s with some added diversity to keep audiences engaged (everything from Al Green to AC/DC). Acoustic sets may be in the future as well. We want (mostly) songs that make the audience respond (dance, sing, etc.). Of course sometimes you just want to play it because you like it. We have a PA and all the equipment needed for performances. All members have a say in band activities (song selection, gigs, practice dates, etc.). We have two free locations to practice (in the area of Country Club/Guadaloupe & lindsay/McKellips). Practices start at 7pm and we usually play til 10pm+. I can't stress these things enough: -COME PREPARED. Know your parts! We try to get songs as close as we can and then improvise from there. We tune down to Eb for all songs. -Tone/Volume. If you have only 2 tones, distorted and wayyy overdistorted, or ear piercing trebly tones/volumes, it won't work. We have a diverse set list. You need to have diverse tones and a volume foot pedal....cuz i'm tired of watching guys who stop playing and adjust amp volumes...cuz they didn't fully prep. -Committed. If you take off for weeks or months or you're looking for a short term project to pass the time, we're not interested. We practice on weeknights only (currently Wednesday nights by 7pm) -General. good attitude, flexible, open minded, good energy, mid 30’s or older preferred, experienced playing live is a plus, not afraid to provide constructive input/feedback, quick starter, background vocals a plus; an acoustic solution when needed would be nice. AUDITION These are the audition songs. Great if you know others on our list, but these are what we want to hear you play.
