Job description Position Summary The primary responsibility for this position is to ensure the continuous operation of production and packaging machinery through routine preventive maintenance and repairs. Essential Duties and Responsibilities The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following: Maintains and repairs of all production systems which include all pumps, heat exchangers, chillers, boilers, air compressors, conveyors, packaging and process systems, etc. Perform routine preventive maintenance (PM’s) according to department and MPulse software schedules. Responsible for ensuring equipment is ready for production start-up assisting production supervisors and operators wherever necessary. Learn to operate HMI system to troubleshoot, reset safeties, etc. Responsible for repairs on worn-out or damaged equipment. Assist production, sanitation, warehouse, and other support groups when needed. Rebuild pumps, valves, motors, gearboxes. Troubleshoot electrical, and pneumatic systems. Ensure wastewater system is operating within specifications. Monitoring of proper boiler pressure, function and chemical conditions. Support overall building maintenance inside/outside. Perform all other work as required. Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities) Education/Certification(s): High school diploma or GED required Minimum of one year manufacturing / food processing related experience with GMP and base understanding of HACCP Required Experience: 2+ years maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment. Experienced in troubleshooting electrical, and PLC based control systems (Allen Bradley & Siemens) as well as, packaging equipment, conveyor systems and process systems. Ability to read and understand blueprints, drawings, schematics, specifications, codes, electrical formulas and handbooks. Mig, Tig, and stainless welding experience preferred, but not required. Must be able to read, write speak the English language Input data for PM’s, work orders, purchase requisitions and daily email communications Use simple math, and use basic hand held measuring tools Ability to exhibit a professional manner in dealing with others and works to maintain constructive working relationships The company is an Equal Opportunity Employer, drug free workplace, and complies with ADA regulations as applicable.
