Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) - Trains citizens in medical first-aid, triage, light search and rescue, fire suppression, and terrorism awareness. Upon completion of the 24 hour course, registrants who attend all classes will become a CERT volunteer and receive a CERT backpack. This course is FREE and provides basic training.   CERT Basic Training: Be able to identify hazards that affect your home, workplace, and neighborhoodWork as a team to apply search and rescue techniquesUnderstand the function of CERTs and their role in immediate disaster responseBasic fire suppression strategies and fire safety measuresManagement of resources in medical response operations  You must attend all three days to complete training.
