Gethsemane United Methodist Church is a 17-acre campus in the middle of Capitol Heights. We would like to better understand our community’s needs for building a better world post-covid and understand how our space can support those needs. We have partnered with the Neighborhood Design Center to explore options for the future of our space and create a long term plan for the future that best addresses the needs of people living, working, learning, and playing in the greater Capitol Heights Neighborhood! COMMUNITY PAINTING | 10:00AM - 4:00PM Physical Health, Mental Wellness, and Creative Expression is a central component of our collective future. Join Gethsemane UMC for afternoon of painting a community walking trail and building a little lending library. The Neighborhood Design Center will also report back with design ideas for the 17-acre site, based on feedback from our May 7th Community Visioning. Free Food, DJs, and Games & Activities for people of all ages.
