Get ready to dive into books that will make you laugh, cry, sing, dance, and anything else words can do. This first meeting will be all about discussing an excerpt for Homegoing, voting on the first official book we’ll be reading, and some introductions. A big focus this year will be writers of color but any book is fair game. To jump start things, the first reading will be a short excerpt from Yaa Gyesi’s Homegoing.
