URGENT! TELLER WILL BE PUT DOWN JUNE 27 ALL BECAUSE THE KENNEL IS STRESSFUL......NO REASON TO PUT ME DOWN....NEED A LOVING ADOPTER....... Hi, I'm Teller. I am set to be euthanized June 27th. Why am I E-listed? I'm STRESSED! I have been at this noisy, chaotic place for 3 months with long periods of confinement and few opportunities for out-of-kennel time. I have been a very good boy from the 'get go'! When I arrived at the shelter, I was friendly, my tail was wagging, and I allowed all handling and vaccinating like a 'champ'. I even walked to my kennel with no problems. I LOVE being with people! I'm a very affectionate boy that likes to be a 'lap dog' and will jump up on a lap if one is available. I like being petted and will lean in to get more. I'm a playful young dog that can get jumpy when excited but will respond to 'off' when asked. I 'sit' for treats and take them gently. I have been easy to take from and return to my kennel. I walk with a moderate pull on-leash at first, but then I settle into a nice walking pace. When I get a chance to go to the play yard, I like to sniff and explore, but mostly, I love being with people. I haven't had a dog-to-dog assessment, but I've been non-reactive to dogs here at the shelter! That said, if I go to a home with other dog(s), I will need to be kept safely separate while de-stressing and settling in, and then I would need a SLOW introduction! 2-year-old, neutered, American Pit Bull Terrier (54 lbs.) ID #4703281 Shelter life has been REALLY HARD ON ME!! I need to get out ASAP!! It would be good for me to meet the entire family at the shelter before going home.
