Experienced guitarist and keyboardist in CLE east-side seeking a bassist and drummer. We will collectively specialize in epic music by extraordinary artists spanning the Classic Rock era (which begins in 1963 (invasion of The Beatles) and runs until 1976 (when Disco became popular). The music need not be recorded during the timeframe, but is reflective of the artists and music of that time. Genres include Classic Rock (Progressive, Southern, Country/Folk, “Pop”, Other), Soul (Southern Soul/Motown & other R&B), and Blues (electric, swing, country, rock, other). Our purpose is to deliver powerful and energetic-if-not-danceable music from generally familiar artists. Spanning this diverse music, we will have little room to specialize on any one artist. We will weave a story about the music-behind and history that continues to be at the roots of much being produced today. We ARE NOT planning an A-side/Top 10 repertoire. We will organize a structured process for song selection with our new band members, seeking everyone’s participation/input/initial buy-in. As an initial song list of 40ish songs is formed, we will work independently to minimize practices and time in “getting out there.” We welcome playing out a couple times a month, first playing “aligned” bars and vineyards, working toward private parties and larger venues.
