9-11:10 AM Writing: 9-10 CS: 10:10-11:10 This joint event will give students (5th-8th grade) an introductory experience with both writing and computer science. The writing course will help kids interact, workshop, and share their pieces with other writers. The instructors each have achieved Scholastic Art and Writing Gold Key and Silver Medal Nationalist. We will explore new styles, genres and techniques, helping students to find new ways to express themselves. The computer science portion will be an introduction to Java and will stretch from learning basic coding skills to creating games and projects. Camp will be held online on Zoom, and students can apply to either or both courses.
