Discflect (you may be more familiar with the product name of kanjam) is a two-person flying disc team sport that features throwing and deflecting a disc at or into a goal. What makes discflect stand out from other sports is deflecting; players are not just throwing, but also deflecting the disc in order to score points. Scoring can happen in 4 unique ways as well! For over 30 years, there has been a World Championship tournament in the sport of discflect each year. In the early years, this tournament was invitational only, but has been open invite since 1999. The best teams in the sport compete for the coveted golden “Hammer” trophy. In 2020, the tournament was canceled due to COVID-19 and in 2021, the sport was rebranded as discflect with PDFA (Professional Discflect Association) as the governing body for the sport. PDFA has hosted the World Championship since 2007 (previously under the name kanjam League), and is excited to announce that the 22nd Annual Discflect World Championship is back on August 6th, 2022! PDFA is proud to partner with Gatekeeper Media for the 2022 PDFA Discflect World Championship in Buffalo, NY.
