I was on the National Mall yesterday with my granddaughter and I saw you walk by twice! Each time we smiled at each other, and I was hoping that you would walk by a third time to stop and talk. You, an older white gentleman in exercise clothing. Me, a black woman. My granddaughter and I both had on matching sundresses.
