Prog? Metal?

Do you sometimes play off time signatures? Different chord voicings? Does the idea of playing in a basic rock or metal band bore you to tears? I play bass and synthesizers, and I'm hoping to start something new. I have equipment and a plàce to practice. I have other friends that are musicians and I might be able to put something together with the right people. I have lots of experience with recording, shows and touring but I'm not looking to quit my job. 70s prog, various kinds of metal, etc. Let me know if you're interested
