Hiring a pro finisher to overlay a concrete slab - 1,2,00 sf. We will acid stain and epoxy coat over the float so we need to get it smooth. This concrete appears to be unstable in places. It crumbles under pressure. Some of the thinset popped right off. Some bonded well and had to be hammered off. Options? Will an overlay bond to it? Is bonding additive enough?
