Unlike you, I don't judge a book until I've read it. My only fear of the bible is that I will be stranded somewhere, someday, and there will be nothing but a bible to read. I will admit a lot of that biblical shit was scary to me as a kid, but I learned to think for myself during my late teens. Did you know that if Constantine had not converted to Christianity, it would have likely become a lost religion?
