New Normal cover band seeks new lead guitarist

Meets

Bethlehem PA

Description

We’re New Normal, a working 6-piece cover band with gigs scheduled through December, and we are looking for a solid lead guitarist! Website:  https://www.newnormalpa.com/ Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/newnormalpa/ ABOUT US - Our current lineup includes a female lead vocalist, male bassist / lead vocalist, male rhythm guitarist / lead vocalist, male keyboardist, and male drummer. Ages: late 30’s - 60’s - Repertoire spans six decades — popular rock, pop, and dance hits from the 60’s through today. - Play gigs 2-3 times / month, targeting venues within an hour of the Lehigh Valley. - Practice twice / month once a lead guitarist is up to speed on set lists. Practices are in Bethlehem and are usually weekend mornings/early afternoons. - We have sound and lights, and we play and practice with in-ear monitors. We don’t use tracks currently. ABOUT YOU - You’re a really solid technical guitarist. You can play solos in songs like Sweet Child and Separate Ways, but you’re not afraid to support the rhythm guitarist while he’s singing lead vocals. - You’re a team player. You’re easy-going, have a sense of humor, and genuinely love to play with other musicians. You’re not a track purist — we don’t need to sound exactly like the track in most cases… but we DO need to be tight with a full sound. You’re flexible and can follow someone, including using non-verbal communication while playing live. - You have time for this project and can commit to it. - You’re comfortable with in-ear monitors, own a set, and are willing to use them. We don’t use external monitors on stage. - Bonus Points - nice, but not required - You can contribute vocally (lead or backup). NEXT STEPS - If this sounds like you, we’d love to hear from you! Please send us your name, email, location, a sentence or two about you, names of former band(s), and a link to video of you playing. - If it’s a potential match, we will send you a set list and ask which songs you might know, and then ask you to prepare 6-8 songs and join us at an upcoming practice. Thanks - we can’t wait to meet you!
