Herdsperson needed on 240 cow dairy farm.The farm has been milking with 4 Lely robots for over 10 years and grows all it’s own forages, some grains and raises all it’s own replacement animals. The right person will have excellent communication skills, be able to work alone as well as part of a good team, enjoy learning and using technology and like working with a nice herd of cows. Valid drivers license and at least 3 years of Dairy experience or an associate’s degree in agriculture required. Attitude is just as important as experience. Duties include herd health, herd management, basic barn work and equipment operation and robot maintenance. Hours are Monday - Friday 5 a.m. until noon and alternate weekends. More hours possible. Must be motivated, reliable and have a strong work ethic. Competitive salary and health insurance. Housing possible.
