Hurt/bleeding super friendly Adult cat in desperate need of a home

For the past 3 days there has been a cat staying in front of my house all day, the cat is big but super friendly. It is friendlier than my indoor cat that I have had for eight years now. I have pet him, and have picked him up and wven while opening a can of food he raised hiw two paws and grabbed my hand so gently without scratching me. My own cat scratches me after having fed him when just petting his belly. I tried to bring the cat inside but my own cat got violent towards it and cannot risk leaving them together home alone. The cat was staying in front of the door all day and wanted to come inside each time I opened the door. I fed the cat every day and put water out for him. At night he seemed to leave, wouldn't be around. This morning I noticed that he was bleeding from his mouth and had been hurt. I fed him twice today and put some more fresh water. I don't know what attacked him at night, but right now he is just trying to sleep and rest. If anyone has the means and space to take him so he can recover and have a safe place to sleep without worry.
