Description
We're a locally and regionally popular folk-rock band that recently lost our drummer. While we have some substitutes for temporary shows we're looking for someone to become our full-time replacement.
We play 40+ shows a year, and every band member gets an equal cut of pay (a few thousand dollars a year). We are extremely busy around St. Patrick's Day and usually take a week off our day jobs to tour once during each summer, plus occasional regional weekend trips (Florida, Carolinas, Tennessee mostly). Performances are a mix of three-hour pub gigs, one-set rock club performances and big outdoor festivals. Songs are a mix of originals, traditional, modern folk and out-of-left-field cover songs, including a good dose of old-school punk.
While our music isn't too overtly political just yet, our original songs are leaning further and further into this (left-leaning, specifically).
We're looking for someone who will mesh with our style, play a tight set, make it to practice once a week, be fun to have in the van on long drives and has the availability to play the vast majority of the shows on our busy schedule.
