Register today to join Adrienne for morning yoga at the Gardens. About the Instructor: Adrienne Shaw is a Health and Wellness Advocate for life. She is certified to teach Yoga, Shallow Water Aerobics and Pilates and has taught formally since 2015. Adrienne currently serves as the Health and Wellness Coordinator for Region XI, BIGDOL. She regularly teaches at women’s retreats, conferences and DC/MD recreation centers. She has a heart for seniors and others who are beginning to explore physical fitness. Her motto: “Food is Not Your Friend” and “you must move your feet.” She always has fun during class. She says, “I believe in inclusivity and teach in a way that’s inviting for all participants. The flow of my class depends largely on who is present. I teach you how to move and breathe, one step and breathe at a time.” What you will be doing: Engage in an hour-long, slow-paced yoga class as instructor Adrienne Shaw teaches participants about breathing and movement. Practice yoga in a group setting while enjoying the sights and sounds of the Gardens on a summer morning. Participants should bring a water bottle, yoga mat, snack, bug spray, sun protection (sunscreen/block, hat, sunglasses), and/or anything else one may carry when spending time outdoors.
