Sunday Assembly International Conference 2022 Gather with Sunday Assembly friends and members from around the world to find inspiration on building positive and inclusive communities! In the past, this has taken place in: London 2014 Atlanta 2015 Utrecht 2016 San Diego 2017 Edinburgh 2018 Nashville 2019 And now happening July 15-17 in Oakland, California – the heart of the San Francisco Bay Area! Co-hosted by Sunday Assembly East Bay and Sunday Assembly Silicon Valley We’ll be assembling in the historic Nile Hall at Preservation Park, a charming neighborhood of colorful, ornate and beautifully maintained Victorian-era buildings surrounded by flowers. Two and a half days of music, speakers, and breakout sessions among your fellow interested community builders. Find your spark to bring home to your community, network with others to move our communities forward. Speaker topics to include: ---*Stem Cell & Gene Therapy *Engaging Secular Communities with Interfaith Works *Sex Positivity *Connecting to a Bigger Purpose without God Breakout session topics and activities to include choices of: *Guided tours of the African American Museum and Library at Oakland *Repair Cafe *Compassionate Listening *Writing on Religious Indoctrination, Deconstruction, and Motherhood *Improv: How to Play Your Way through Life *Poetry writing *Storytelling *Experience of Organizing Volunteering Activities *Experience of Leading Volunteers *Discussion on Having Ritual and Structure for Secular Community Group If you arrive in Oakland by July 14, join in a meet and greet with other attendees and organizers that late afternoon/ evening in the Old Oakland neigborhood. Your ticket includes lunches on July 15 and 16; and a dinner with your new and old friends under the summer evening sky in the park, around a beautiful fountain on July 16.
