When: August 6th from 8.00 am to 10.00 am
Meet: Visitor center parking - Blackjack trail at LLELA (Please note that LLELA charges a 5$ parking and entrance fee)
Who: Adults and mature youth due to the slow, therapeutic nature of the program
What to expect: The Blackjack Trail is a non-even, unpaved trail through a Cross Timbers forest remnant dominated by post oak, cedar elm, and blackjack oak The trail route includes a number of prairie glades with native grasses and wildflowers. We will walk about 1 mile. After a short introduction about Nature and Forest therapy, i will guide you through a series of invitations that will allow you to reconnect with Nature and yourself. After each invitation, we will take a moment to share and reflect. We will end the walk with a tea ceremony.
Bring: Water, trail shoes, dress for the weather, wear insect repellent and bring sitting pad if preferred to ground.
Weather disclosure: If weather does not allow us to have our event or recent weather has caused the trail to close, we will either relocate, reschedule or refund your ticket price OR you can transfer to another date. Please check your email and the Facebook event for any updates.
