Way too many people and politicians are getting their panties in a bunch over the Roe vs Wade ruling and claiming this means the end of democracy. What their decision really means is that rather than have a group of unelected judges decide the abortion issue, the decision should be made by the various states where people can VOTE on the question. And that's called DEMOCRACY! And the irony is that many of the big marches to protest the court's decision are in states that are run by liberal democrats where abortions will remain legal anyway. I really think many of the protesters are just totally naive as to what the Supreme Court did. (I'm using the word naive here, but I could have used the word uninformed or even stupid, but I'm trying to be diplomatic.) PS. I read the U.S. Constitution, and try as I did, I couldn't find the word abortion anywhere. Yet there are still "naive" people who will loudly proclaim that under our Constitution, it is a protected "right."
