Join the Team! Seeking a motivated Trainer to join our growing team! We have a team of 4 trainers who work together daily training dogs, caring for dogs, learning, positing social media content, and working with clients. We are seeking our next team member who is motivated to learn more about dogs, training clients and just enjoying our shared passion, dogs! We have a beautiful facility on 8 acres in Mills River, North Carolina. There are 2 fenced training yards and 6 open acres to walk, train and exercise dogs. There are 2 creeks through the property for dogs to enjoy swimming. Additionally, we are bordered by 2 gravel roads which offer a lovely opportunity for longer walks. Career growth! Learn alongside the dogs you train! We provide a salary raise with each level of training you master! There are 5 levels of training to learn: Puppy, On Leash, Off Leash, Behavior Training, Therapy Dog, Service Dog. You will also have the opportunity to excel your career with commission-based training sales, providing one on one training sessions for clients. Trainer position requires watching videos, reading books (on your own time!), watching training evolutions, practicing newly learned skills, and asking for help when needed. You will learn how to read dogs, identify specific behaviors and what they communicate, conduct behavior evaluations on dogs, classify behavioral problems, and implement behavior training protocols. Qualifications One+ years experience caring for dogs in a kennel, shelter, training or grooming facility Knowledge and understanding of dogs, dog behavior, and body language Professional appearance and representation of the company Responsibilities Adhere to preset training curriculum Meet with clients on arrival and departure of pet Record training sessions and provide updates to clients Video record completed training Conduct private lessons with clients Create social media content Daily Responsibilities Train assigned dogs daily Care, feeding, bathing and walking dogs Handle & train small and large breeds from puppies to adults Work with dogs needing behavior training Learn; expand skill set and education Assist other trainers Benefits Flexible Scheduling Hourly salary $15/hr + Commission based salary Healthcare* 401K* *following 6 months employment Schedule Daily hours are 7am-3pm Evening hours 5pm-7pm
