Do you have a kid who is an aspiring fashion designer? Stylist? Or Just really love clothes... This week fashion design camp is just what you are looking for. We have two Cam p options Part 1 Saturday night 4-6p.m. or Part 2 Friday night 4:30-6:30 (preferrably returning part 1 students, past students, or kids with some sewing skills) All supplies for weekly classes are provided....students are responsible for purchasing finale design fabrics and supplies Class schedule is as follow Fashion camp Part 1 Saturday 4-6p.m. June 4th- Sketching & Design (flat design corquis project) June 25th-Basic Sewing Skills (operating and learning parts of machines, tools, and stitching technique101 (symbols, measurements, adjustments and important terminology) July 2nd Fabric 101 and style boards ( learning about fabrics, tension and get to pick fabric for design) July 9th- Garment construction (starting finale look) July 13th- (technique building) July 16th- Garment construction (finising finale look) July 20th - (make-up class) July 23rd- (Fashion Show Design Garment construction) July 27th- (Fashion Show Design) July 30th- Final touches and Runway Coaching July 31st -Fashion Show (Preferrably 2 looks each depending on time) @International Institue show time is TBD Tickets sold separately.... Fashion Camp part 2 Friday night classes 4:30- 6:30 Dates June 3rd- Beginner Sewing Skills Review (threading and operating machine, patterns, measurements, tools, and sewing striaight, corners, curves) June 10th- Sewing Sample Book ( darts, hems, pleats, french seams, overcasting, gathering) June 17th- Sample Book continue (invisble zipper, separating zipper, lap zipper, button hole, buttons/snaps) June 24th no class July 1st Corquis Returns (3D techniques and sketching fashion show design) Wednesday in July are reserve for make-up days July 8th Fashion show garment construction day bring fabric July 15th Finishing design July 22nd finale design construction July 29th Finishing touches July 31st -Fashion Show (Preferrably 2 looks each depending on time) @International Institue show time is TBD Tickets sold separately.... Sew In Detroit is a sewing company ran by fashion designer Volencia Simpson. She has over 10 years of experience teaching and mentoring kids. She has been operating and hosting classes since 2014.
