Don't you just hate when you try to show the world how smart and enlightened you are, yet only prove that you have no clue what you're talking about? Cute meme. So, FYI, it's called an "Internal Combustion Engine" NOT infernal. While there may come a day where we're less dependent on fossil fuels, those days are down the road. I find it hilarious that those whining most about fossil fuels are the same ones with their faces glued to their stupid phones. "News Flash!" That I-phone is only possible because of fossil fuels. In these days of plastic everything, few realize that plastics are a petroleum product. That's correct. Your phone is made from the very product you rail against! It does no good for the US to cut petroleum usage when countries such as China and India ramp up their use of coal and oil products to power their country. Air is global. In other words, it does no good to cut production here when other countries build new coal fired power plants. Much like having yourself castrated because your neighbor has too many kids! Doesn't work and doesn't make sense. Hundreds of bald eagles die each year by wind turbine blades. Thats just one species of bird, thousands of others perish as well. Solar panels are cooking birds in flight! Someone failed to do their homework and built a solar panel farm along the route of bird migratory path. Thousands of birds are incinerated IN FLIGHT! Temperatures climb as high as 800 degrees due to the reflections from solar mirror panels, cooking birds' mid-flight. While the world should try to move away from fossil fuels, we aren't there yet. There isn't a viable alternative...yet. Electric vehicles aren't the answer. Strip mining the planet to get the materials to build lithium batteries isn't smart. They create far more pollution and destruction of the planet. As to the poster's hate of diesel, I suggest that he/she strip butt naked, go sit in a field and slowly starve to death. EVERYTHING you own involved diesel. Whether it's the clothes on your back, that snazzy I-Phone, or the food you eat, it has been delivered somewhere along the line by a diesel powered vehicle. FACT! While the current administration does everything in it's power to destroy this country, those pushing the green new deal are whining about costs. Duh! It's called cause and effect. It floors me how few actually understand that. They cry for a $15.00 minimum wage, then cry when the price of a burger goes up. Bitch about oil drilling and the whine about the cost of gas. When costs of production of ANY product goes up, that cost is passed onto the consumer. Simple economics.
