Experienced fishing buddy wanted

I just moved to Washington from Florida and don't know anything about the fishing here. Would love to meet an experienced fishing enthusiast that could teach me the what and hows of fishing fresh and salt water fish. I have a pole, no tackle yet because I don't know what to buy and I also have a kayak that I would love to break in. I'm available Monday thru Wednesdays and Saturdays. The other days I'm available mornings and early afternoons only on account of work. I'm a 52 y/o Navy veteran that really loves fishing and would be ever so very grateful for someone to take me under their wing and teach me the ropes and possibly make a good friend along the way as well.
