Upright Bass Player Seeking Musicians

I am a senior musician who is learning upright bass, and I play some acoustic guitar, and mandolin. I’m primarily a bassist. I can sing a few songs, but am not really a vocalist. I would like to find some folks to pick with. I'm located in Arnold (on Hwy 4, south of Tahoe and north of Yosemite). I can travel if necessary. My musical goals are to play bluegrass, Americana, old time music, with some country thrown in. It would initially be just for our own fun, but if we get it working well maybe do some open mic nights and or participating in the Hermitfest if they have it this year. I certainly have no objection to performing, if we are able to play at a pleasing level but not if we suck. I would like to find folks who play any of the traditional bluegrass / old time instruments such as acoustic guitar, fiddle, banjo, dobro and mandolin. I’d prefer acoustic instruments rather than amplified electrics. If interested, please email me.
