We crossed paths under the freeway overpass on Piedmont Avenue just up from Broadway on Friday afternoon. I had just left Piedmont Springs where I enjoyed an excellent hour in the hot tub; my long hair was still wet from being immersed in its jet stream goodness. I may or may not have been smoking a post-hot tub joint too, but pulled up my facemask because that's what I do when walking past my fellow humans during a pandemic and stuff. You'd just gotten out of your car and crossed the street heading up Piedmont. You were masked up and in sunglasses (to my memory), so I couldn't see much of your face aside from the sorta punk/dare I say hipster?/whatever shag cut framing everything. However, I do remember the cute sundress that you were wearing! I happen to love a good sundress myself, so I notice them when they stand out. We exchanged nods of acknowledgment as we crossed paths. Maybe we felt somewhat familiar to one another; maybe you liked my style or my nonbinary button or my dripping wet hair or...I dunno. I just kinda wished that I'd said hello and wished you a nice Friday or something, but I'm not usually one to attempt conversation with random strangers on the street. You probably understand that feeling. Anyway, I'd love to take you out for a joint in the cemetery or even a hot tub date on the off chance that you see this and are interested!
