Experienced Front Loader/Machine Operator Site development work Position Responsibilities & Performance Objectives The duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following: Essential Functions Operating a loader to complete tasks such as moving and/or transporting materials such as dirt, rocks, and other types of aggregate. Performing visual and safety inspection of equipment daily. This includes checking for proper air pressure in tires, proper fluid levels, and performing minor repairs as needed. Keeping equipment clean and orderly. Ensuring that safety, compliance, environmental requirements are always followed. Completing necessary paperwork and assisting with other duties required. Physical Demands The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Must be able to work outdoors in Florida heat. Skills & Experience: Understanding of OSHA rules and regulations. Previous experience in quarry or pit experience a plus. Must have knowledge of operating procedures as it pertains to loading and unloading materials. - Take action to avoid potential hazards and obstructions, such as utility lines, other equipment, other workers, and falling objects. - Start engines, move throttles, switches, and levers, and depress pedals to operate such stated machines. - Align machines with reference stakes and guidelines or ground or position equipment, following hand signals of other workers. - Load and move dirt, rocks, equipment, and materials, using trucks, crawler tractors, shovels, graders, or related equipment. - Coordinate machine actions with other activities, positioning or moving loads in response to hand or audio signals from crew members. - Performs other duties as assigned.
